Good Behavior Game Technology (GBG Tech)
The ultimate goal of this research is to develop, refine and pilot test new technology (GBG Tech) to serve as a delivery system for teachers to promote sustained fidelity of the Good Behavior Game, which in turn, will support the development of social and behavioral competencies of students to help them succeed academically. If this approach is successful, it will serve as a model of how to develop technology to deliver other evidence-based interventions in educational settings. This project is federally funded by a $1.4M grant awarded to Dr. Smith by the Institute of Education Sciences. For more information about this project, read the recent USM press release: https://www.usm.edu/news/2020/release/evidenced-based-interventions-classrooms.php.
Collaborators include Dr. Nicholas Ialongo from Johns Hopkins University and Dr. Frederick Shic from the University of Washington.
