About the Lab

The Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders Lab under the direction of Dr. Stephanie Smith conducts research examining risk and resilience factors of externalizing behaviors in children and adolescents and how to augment intervention and prevention efforts for these youths. We are also interested in using technology to enhance the delivery of evidence-based treatments and applying state-of-the-art EEG methods to clinical research.

Diversity Equity and Inclusion Statement: Through our work in this lab, we strive to foster a diverse and equitable environment in both our research and through our respect and support for one another. We are committed to cultivate an inclusive environment through mentorship and collaboration regardless of race, culture, ethnic and national origin, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, ability, age, socioeconomic status, religious beliefs, values and perspective. We aim to support an inclusive environment for children, adolescents, and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders and view neurodiversity as a core part of identity. We acknowledge that we are consistently learning how to be more inclusive and equitable through our research.
