Group for Organization, Attention and Learning Skills (GOALS)

The GOALS Program was designed for undergraduate students who are struggling with organization, planning, and time management. Through the GOALS program, students learn skills such as time awareness; effective note taking and study strategies; prioritizing tasks and assignments; scheduling and managing appointments; and breaking down projects into short- and long-term goals. We are currently evaluating the efficacy of this intervention with respect to building these skills to offset executive function deficits and to encourage academic success.

Our lab is currently recruiting participants for this study. The program includes a pre-program assessment and 9 group sessions. For more information, contact Tiffany Harris at tiffany.g.harris@usm.edu.

GOALS is supported by the USM Center for Behavioral Health and the Lucas Endowment Fellowship for Faculty Excellence.
